How big is one cubic yard?
The Kakwa bag will hold up to 1 cubic yard of material, it is 3′ x 3′ x 3′. As a rule of thumb one cubic yard will cover a 100sq foot area to a depth of 3 inches. Use our online calculator or call us to help figure out how much you need.
What is the weight of a Kakwa Bag?
The weight of aggregates and ground covers will vary depending on the amount of moisture they contain. For example:
- Gravels and Sand are about 1500-3000 lbs per cubic yard,
- Mulches will be 350-500 lbs per cubic yard and
- Soils about 1000-2000 lbs per cubic yard.
Where can I have the bag delivery placed?
Bags will only be delivered onto a concrete, asphalt, or firm gravel driveway. The picker truck requires stable ground and enough space to unload. Our delivery driver will call to confirm the delivery and drop location before they come.
We cannot drop bags over fences in garages, or near overhead powerlines.
