Prairie Crocus

What: Prairie Crocus (Pulsatilla vulgaris) features purple cup-shaped flowers with yellow centers that bloom from early to mid-spring. Its deeply cut ferny compound leaves remain green throughout the season, and the flowers make excellent cutting specimens.

Best use: Prairie Crocus is ideal for mass plantings, rock gardens, and alpine gardens. Its extremely fine and delicate texture brings a unique element to garden compositions and should be used to full effect.
