Landscaping
When installed correctly, Commercial Landscape Fabric effectively controls a majority of troublesome weeds while supporting healthy plant growth. Before installing, remove existing debris and weeds. If multiple pieces are needed, overlap seams by at least 6 inches.
Existing Beds
For existing beds, unroll the Commercial Landscape Fabric and cut an “X” where each plant fits. Then gently work the fabric down to the plant base and snug the cut flaps to the stem. For larger plants, such as trees or shrubs, slit the fabric from the edge to the “X”. Then slide the fabric around the stem, trunk or base.
New Beds
For new beds, unroll the fabric and cut an “X” where each hole is to be dug and plant through.
Hanging Baskets
Commercial Landscape Fabric may be used as a hanging basket liner. Install prior to soil with 1-2 inches overhanging. Trim any excess fabric once soil and plants are in place.
